(English story I was forced to write, wanna know your oppinion, don't like rushing stories, they end up mutated and ew like this: )
Battle for freedom.
Beneath maliciously fierce waves a ship disappeared slowly into the murky, storm shaken depths. Clutching for her life to a plank of barnacled driftwood a girl of the age of fifteen with fiery red hair screamed out in anguish to the disturbed skies above. She didnt scream in words, but just a scream filled with pain, anguish and confusion. A loud rumble of thunder echoed across the darkly clouded skies almost as if in reply. The waves of which the girl was trapped upon thrashed her about violently, her fingers felt frozen and raw as she battled to hold onto the wood, the only thing that seemed to guarantee her survival at that time. She cried out softly in pain as she felt the barnacles scratch and cut her fingers and arms, but she couldnt let go. She couldnt just die and go down like the ship, things werent supposed to be like this at all. The storm raged on all through the night, the waves tormentingly dragging the girl onward. Pounding waves struck at her back over and over again until she could no longer keep awake, let alone conscious.
It was early morning and Lonan Freil grumbled as he walked down the tideline. His Aunt had sent him out once again, the crazy old coot! She always had him running about so early after a storm to see if it washed up anything interesting. Always had to get the goods first she did, not that she actually got them herself, poor Lonan was sent to do all her dirty work. He paused and ran a hand back through his raven-black hair, there must have been a shipwreck or something because so far he had found a collection of gold coins, an emerald amulet and a bottle of unopened wine. He placed all the items in a cotton sewn bag, his attitude changed as he felt lucky, and who knew, maybe his Aunt would be generous enough to let him keep a few coins?
Lonan paused as he noticed someone, or something, slumped upon the beach not far from the tideline, slowly and cautiously he approached the sodden body, his sharp hazel eyes watched closely.
Hello..? He spoke quietly, pausing he peered down at the ocean-brought girl. Frowning he leant down slowly to take her hand and check her pulse when suddenly the girls eyes snapped open and she punched him hard in the face. Staggering back with a startled yelp he stared at her in horror.
        You hit me!
The girl sat up sharply, her fiery red hair cascaded down one shoulder, and her deep blue eyes stared back at him defiantly.
Of course I hit you! What else do you think that was oh-clever-one!?
Lonan stared at her in disbelief, who the Hell was this girl and what the Hell was wrong with her? He gaped at her.
I was JUST trying to help!
She pulled herself to her feet. Growling back at him.
        I dont need your help!
She teetered slightly before falling back into the ocean with a splash. Lonan looked down at her with a smirk.
You look like you need help now
Pulling herself up out of the water she shivered, her cuts stinging from being put back into the salt water. She glared at him.
        Youre too full of yourself.
He smiled at her disarmedly.
        Oh, I do try miss
She glared at him and moved away from him except this time she paused, her eyes closed and she collapsed. Lonan frowned and darted forward to catch her. Supporting in one hand he tapped her cheek.
        Hey, hey Wake up!
He cursed softly as she didnt react and hefted her up into his arms, looking around he hurriedly made his way back towards his Aunts house.
Lonan quietly pushed open the door to a rickety two-storey house, all the windows were boarded up and the paint was old and flaking off the even older wooden boards which made up the house. Above every window though and the doorframe was a peculiar purple crystal which glowed faintly in the sunlight. Lonan carried the strange woman through the house, making as little sound as he could, missing all the familiar creaky wooden boards. Reaching a door he opened it and made his way down stairs, it seemed like some sort of basement, cluttered with wooden boxes with papers piled into them. Moving past the boxes he carefully placed her down onto a hay-filled mattress bed. Tugging a blanket over her he lit a candle, looking down at her worriedly.
        Lonan!
A feminine voice screeched loudly from above, Lonan tensed and straightened up, looking down at the strange girl.
If you know whats good for you youd stay down here
He turned away and hurried back out, closing the door and locking it behind him. Calling out he ran up the stairs.
        Coming Aunt Beatrix!
Lonan opened a door, pink incense filled air gushed out at him and he struggled to breathe. Fanning the air he entered the room, unlike the rest of the house the room was magnificently decorated. Velvet lined the walls and a thick expensive rug lay over the floor, a chandelier hung from the roof with candles lit, sending sparkles of light here and there and canopied bed sat up against a wall, the curtains drawn. A hand snaked out from behind the curtains, the hand had wrinkles and rings upon each finger, long fingernails were painted a blood-red colour and the hand curled, motioning for Lonan to come closer.
        Come here boy
Lonan didnt and couldnt hesitate, he felt himself being drawn towards the bed. He cleared his throat.
I found some gold, wine too Aunty
The curtains drew back, as if by magic and an elderly woman sat propped up by cushions. Her face was wrinkled incredibly and she could pass for a 500-year-old that was sure. The woman opened her eyes, each eye was a bright yellow and she spoke in a sugary kind tone, the sort an old woman would use, shaking her hand at him.
        Give them to me, boy.
Lonan quickly handed the coins over and searched through his bag for the wine. She looked over his findings thoughtfully.
        Thats good, boy
She watched him closely with her yellow eyes.
        Youre up to somethingSpeak!
Lonan frowned, scoffing.
Hah! Up to something..? My, your senses must be failing if you think that..
The old woman stared at him a moment longer before motioning away.
WellGo, go, go, go I need my rest for tonight, go eat something... Or whatever you do
Lonan nodded gratefully and scooted out the door, glad to be free of the intoxicating incense. Making his way down the steps he made his way into the kitchen, deciding to fix himself and his new guest up something to eat.
Making his way back to the basement-type room, Lonan carried a tray carefully. Upon the tray was a curious array of foods. Unlocking the door he made his way down the stairs he looked about. Placing the tray down on a wooden box he wandered over to the strangers still form. He looked down at her and nudged her with a foot.
        HeyYou awake?
She groaned and attempted to push his foot away, squeezing her eyes shut.
        Go away!
He persisted again, somewhat amused by her actions. This time her eyes snapped open and she grabbed his foot, glaring up at him.
Do you not understand the words go away!
She growled her voice whos voice filled with malice.
He peered over at her frowning slightly.
I understand both words fine, thankyou very much.. Whats your name anyway?
She stared up at him, her mind fleeting for an answer. What was her name? She couldnt remember. A cold wave of fear and panic ran through her body and she struggled for an answer.
        Im uh Im
Lonan studied her, she didnt seem to remember or know her name. Something didnt seem right.
Alright.. Dont worry about it- -
She frowned, interrupting him, giving an answer, she had to have a nameEven if she didnt know it at that moment she must of.
        My name is Raika
Lonan nodded, smiling faintly at her.
        Okay then Raika, Im Lonan
He moved over, placing the tray of food in front of her. His expression drew grave.
You must eat Im not sure how you actually got here.. But youre in grave danger. This isnt the safest island to have landed upon Eat this food, youll die for sure if you dont.
Raika peered up at him before her gaze slowly switched to the food. She looked to a curious green blobbish fruit, or maybe it was a vegetable? She wasnt quite sure. Lifting the queer food up to study it, it quivered in between her fingers. It had no particular smell but it looked like something she had never seen before. She took a small, testing bite. It tasted something similar to a peach, juicy and soft inside. As soon as she took her first bite she couldnt stop, she ate until there was nothing left upon the tray. A warm sensation tingled through her body from head to toe making her feel relaxed and almost like she was being covered and shielded by some unknown force. She felt safe and somewhat at ease, no longer really forcing herself to remember what she could not or stressing over things she had little control over.
Lonan watched her thoughtfully, sitting down on a wooden box he drew a knee up to hug.
        Feel better?
Raika nodded, watching him calmly.
        I do
Lonan replied, running a hand back through his hair before resting it down on the dusty wooden crate.
Good. Now, you have to follow a few rules to stay alive here You must be quiet at all times. You do not want to meet my Aunt, shed kill you for sure Dont leave here at night, its not safe in more than a few ways And also, dont go anywhere without me, Im serious, if youre caught by any of them youll be taken to my Aunt and thatll be the end of you. The food will disguise your human scent, my Aunt dislikes humans
Raikas brow furrowed confusedly, what was with this place? Why did it seem so dangerous? She didnt understand.
Why would your Aunt kill me? Why isnt it safe here? I dont understand, tell me please
Lonan sighed, his gaze falling to the dusty floor and he spoke quietly.
My Aunt is a witch. And not just any old witch, she rules the whole island. She controls people through her magicks and shes rather powerful. Hates humans though... Only keeps me alive as a slave, all the other people shes mutated them so theyre no longer really people, just her slaves... Gave some ears, others paws and tails. Made some smaller, oily skin like a frogs you name it shes done it If I can though, Ill sneak you out onto a ship which will take you from the island and to somewhere safe. I gave you the food which should protect you from my Aunts magic, you just have to keep eating it until you leave this land..
Raika stared at him. This must be some horrifying dream shes having because this just cannot be right. A witch? Mutated people? It all sounded like something from a nightmare and she seemed to be trapped amongst it. Lonan looked back at her, a few strands of his raven-black hair fell over his hazel eyes and he shifted to rise.
Anyway Ill go get you something to change into... You should rest, youve seemed to have gone through some ordeal.
Raika murmured softly to herself, curling back up again.
