OOC: This quest is open to the following RPers only -
Darien alFaer
Harvey
Briefing: You must persuade Lord Lonsdale to lend you the Head of the Dragon Amulet. Lord Lonsdale is a fairly venerable old man, but is reputed to have been a staunch supporter of honourable causes in the past. It is known that he rates the Frost Knights Clan very highly in his opinion.
The urgency of the mission requires that you use whatever means necessary in order to obtain the amulet. Failure to acquire any of the pieces will render our plan against the Raiders useless...
You shall sneak out of the Fortress under cover of darkness, making use of the old tunnels which should give you a way out of the Fortress away from the Raiders' watchful eye. They are not aware of our plan at this time, but if they discover what you are doing, they will make every attempt to stop you. Be warned.

------------------------------------------------------------
After the hasty exit after dark from the Fortress, and the brief farewell to the other Knights, Darien and Harvey make their lone way across the paths through the Verdana Forest, halting at the slightest sound and making sure that they are undetected before proceeding. It seems, however, that the night is still. The Orcs lie sound asleep in their forest camps, the birds are stilled, and the Raiders seem to have posted no guards in the areas they choose to traverse. Offering up a silent prayer of thanks, they greet the dawn well on their way to Salamander, and arrive at Lonsdale Hall at mid-morning.
They stop for a moment at the end of the long driveway and survey the view. The Hall is set in a very picturesque setting, with gentle, sloping hills stretching out almost as far as the eye can see. The dwellings are few and far between, each the house of a rich noble and all having extensive lands, most tilled for farmland of some sort, many bearing vineyards upon the sunny slopes.
The land has a strange sense of sleepiness and nostalgia to it, but something in the hills calls of the ruggedness of times past, and here and there, perhaps in the crude wooden fences which border the division between the lands, something of the once-frontier element still remains.
Lonsdale Hall itself is a fine house, though it could probably do with a little work to tidy it up here and there. A couple of slate tiles are missing from the roof, and the grounds look as if they have seen slightly better days. Nevertheless, it looks loved and cared for, and there are several great trees planted along the driveway. One particularly noticeable tree stands some distance from the others, close to the border with the adjacent property. Its boughs spread far and wide, many stretching out over the boundary fence, and it bears apples - but not green, or gold, but a brilliant silver. It is one of the rare trees, from the heart of the Great Forest, and unusually it seems to be thriving.
As all students of magical plant lore know, silver apples are even better at healing than their gold cousins, and are supposed to help fight disease and contribute to a general state of well-being. They are highly expensive - the crop of apples from that tree alone likely being enough to train and equip a small army.
After taking in the scene, Darien and Harvey make their way down the path to the house. Upon the handsome porch is an elegant bell-pull, and above the door in copper plate reads "Lonsdale Hall".
"The heavens keep the answers to our worldly problems...
the key is to know how to understand their ancient language"
