By this time, the mage had completely lost interest in his scroll. Well, perhaps not completely; he unknowingly curled it into a roll and stuffed it into his robe.

He wound through the narrow corridors that filled the Living Quarters like a maze until he finally came outside into the open air. He'd seen the witch Brytemeadow and the werewolf Kerak watching, and had known enough to keep his mouth quiet. After all, he didn't know whether or not they were in on it.

He trudged through the bitter, biting climate of the evening air towards where Brytemeadow sat. It was his intent, however, to learn everything he could about what exactly was going on.

The wizard passed by the witch just a few paces before beginning, "Strange night, eh? It's in the air... smell 'at? If you see somethin' outta place -- you let me know.

We wouldn't want anything bad to happen, right?"

Hex paused, looking at Brytemeadow. He wanted to know exactly how much she knew or if she was with the nun.

"...right?" He pressed, lifting his right eyebrow just a bit higher along his forehead.
