Elbo peers into the bucket, still holding the spellbook. It is empty, save for a small metal coin. Taking it out, Dalboz offers his commentary (as will become constant throughout your travels, so as to identify your items).

"Well, that would be your normal Subway Token, duh." he says flatly, giving no further explanation.

Baneri stuffs the token into his pocket.

As this happens, Elbo runs his fingers over the "Rezrov" spell, activating it's effect. From somewhere, that chorus of voices (the same one you heard at the Crossroads) sings out the name of the spell: "REZROV!"

"Aha, making use of your spellbook already!" Dalboz says, "Good job."

The large red door swings open, revealing a large, golden staircase spiralling downwards... WAY downwards. The mage walks through the door and up to the beginning of the bannister and looks down. The stairs seem to last forever.

Baneri rolls his eyes and turns around to face the others. "It seems like there's no way to go down." And, as the mage finishes his sentence, the bannister lifts itself from it's stationary position, coils around the wizard's waist and pulls him down the stairs in great force.

About a minute later, he arrives at the bottom of the stairs, where the bannister is ended by a very regal-looking statue of a red dragon. Coincidence? We should think not.

Well, what are you waiting for, adventurers? Go and follow him!
