The mage shrugs and pushes the red button. The volume raises to levels blaring over all other noises; it's even louder than when we began.

The same old woman from inside the fish market hollered, "Turn that thing down! I can't hear a thing!"

Hex shrugged once more. "She can't hear anything, eh?" Perhaps we should take advantage of this while we can?

Baneri turned towards the ice box and looked at the six pack once more. Moments passed, and the mage was slipping the beer into his cloak can by can. The alarm had rung, don't get me wrong... she just couldn't hear it, is all. ;)

The mage walked back and pressed the green button. The same thing happened - the volume lowered to a quieted hush, and the alarm had ceased it's ringing once Baneri was out of reach of the box.

"Ya see?" said the mage. "Now, what're we goin' to do with this thing?" He looked down in his hands, holding the plastic rings. "Any ideas as to what we could do?"
