((Oi, sorry guys. Been a hectic day - just got on the machine.))

About half an hour passes.

At any rate, the group is still confused as to why Tarelth ran off like he did. It'd be unfortunate too, if he were to run into the Inquisition Guard, or even a Grue. (Not pleasant - that's for sure.)

Fact of the matter was, however, that Baneri had not even tried to figure out the riddle; he was busy brooding over other issues. Since he'd arrived, he noticed a very empty feeling. The mage knew what it was, too. This land was devoid of magical energies. Not a single person could use magic, without the help of scrolls and a spell book. While the others tried to figure the puzzle out, he had tried to use his spells, but they fizzled out. That was why he did not answer.

The old elf nodded to Elbo as his questions were asked. "I thought we went over this before the mission began. I trust Ramladu very much. Dalboz, I'm not so sure -- for the fact remains that I haven't met him."

Back to the current, though, the group finally made their way to a fork in the path. The area in which they stood was very quiet - a clearing in the midst of tall trees and shrubberies. In the middle of the space, stood a marker. About halfway up the sign post, were two speakers labeled "Frobozz Sign Post Speaker Company", and above those were three signs. To the right, the sign read "Port Foozle", to the left, "Nowhere" and ahead was "Guaranteed Totemization". Nasty thought, that was. Tarelth stood at the sign post, trying to make heads or tails of where the adventurers should go.

When the group approached, the speakers suddenly began to speak, with a pause in between each statement:

"Curfew begins in five seconds.
Curfew begins in three seconds.
Curfew has begun.
Curfew has been in effect for two seconds.
Curfew has been in effect for five seconds.
Curfew has been in effect for eight seconds.
Curfew has been in effect for ten seconds."

This continued indefinitely.

"So," Baneri started, "...uh, where do you think we should go? I say we head in to town, maybe we can find the hideout of the Underground there."
