Torah sighs as he shakes his head.
"Tell the princess of blue and her one time prince of raven black. Tell the poet, and the heir to my small but honorable throne. Tell the Dragon Guard, if there still be one to tell...by my reckoning, they are now entirely devoid of creatures from its namesake. Tell the snowbrothers, the dream-maker and the others. Tell the fair courtesan, and the faery queen. Tell the warrior--not the first...but the next. Tell them, if they care to hear it. If not, let it pass."

The dragon falls to one knee and spreads his wings.

"You've cut short my walk."

Torah alights from the ground and dashes into the sky like a black arrowhead which has lost its supportive shaft. The dragon is gone from view in seconds.
