Torah hears a call which should have, and once upon a yesterday would have, startled him.

Without turning, without looking, without wondering, Torah replied in a voice that did not have to rise to be heard.
"Tell them I'm sorry if it mattered I left. But if they think of the time, and the situation, they may just realize why I did it. Tell them that if I had cared for anything, I would miss them."

Pausing long enough to let the shadowed being begin to respond Torah interrupted.

"Powerful?...who really knows anymore. Lord? Once long ago, I was one of a Celyddon Rose, now I am no longer. Can you help? Not unless you understand what I just told you. And so far as I imagine, you do not."

Pausing once again, longer this time, the dragon interrupted once again.

"By the way...I'm not injured. Sometimes one just finds himself without the will to fly." Briefly pausing Torah reminds himself of his nearly forgotten manner--
"Thank you, and please tell them. Who? They know who they are. Thank you. I'll be...around...maybe."
