The door opened slowly, a stranger walked in and made their way over to zoe', they placed their hand on zoe's forehead, she had avoided catching a fever, but was still a little warm. The stranger wiped her forehead with a damp cloth.

They then took out a small green crystal and placed it over zoes head, it glowed with a dim blue aura and slowly faded away into nothing, leaving a faint trace of blue over zoes face. At that moment, zoe' stirred and slowly opened her eyes, her vision slightly blurred she tried to make out who she could see standing before her

"Who are you" zoe' asked as she tried to sit up

The stranger paused for a moment; as though they were not sure how to answer the question "I am...." another pause followed "I am your friend"

"What happened to me?" zoe' asked with a puzzled look upon her face, her vision clearing she could make out that the figure in front of her was not quite human, she could not place how she knew, but they definitely werent human.

"you were attacked, when I found you, you were almost dead, your wounds were great and you lost a lot of blood, I had no option but to bring you here, you must rest, your still in shock, sleep now, we will talk more when your stronger" With that the stranger turned around and headed for the door

"Wait! Who are you? and where is here?" zoe' called out, but the stranger walked out without looking back and closed the door, zoe' turned to get out of the bed to follow, but then heard a "click" as the door was locked once more.

She stopped for a moment, not sure what to do, but this time she was not fearful of the door being locked, she had looked into the eyes of her rescuer and knew she could trust them. She turned back and lay down on the bed. Her thoughts were of tomorrow and what it would bring......
